Our company has a acid production plant using acidic gases from the refinery, with a capacity of 50,000 tons per year; this plant has been in operation for over a year now. We are considering converting it into an equipment for treating waste acid from alkylation processes. Could you tell us approximately what the investment and operating costs would be? Which devices are the main ones that are being modified?
The acid waste treatment system built by our company features a furnace that is primarily used to burn acidic gases; these acidic gases serve as fuel to maintain the furnace temperature at around 1200°C. The acid waste generated during alkylation process is atomized using nozzles located at the furnace inlet, after which it undergoes high-temperature decomposition inside the furnace. The subsequent processing steps are likely similar to those used in your company. If the designed load of your company’s existing equipment is sufficient, simply adding 1 or 2 waste acid nozzles will be enough

If the load capacity of your equipment design meets the requirements of the operating conditions, all that is needed is to add one or two waste acid nozzles along with the corresponding pipelines, and the cost will not be high
The waste acid should not contain large amounts of salts; its concentration needs to be high
