Distillation is a process of heating to cause vaporization; traditional distillation towers can operate in a single stage, with the light components coming out from the top, the monomer from the middle, and the high-boiling substances being discharged from the bottom. This type of process is also used in distillations with low flow rates today. During distillation heating, the light components evaporate first, followed by the monomers, and finally the high-boiling heavy components. If you use a high heating temperature and low pressure, all components will evaporate; by recovering the heavier components first, you avoid wasting resources on the lighter ones.
