Reorganization of electric heater issues

During the initial startup of the reforming unit, when air is used to purge the system pipelines, is the electric heater turned off and isolated, or can it be purged along with the pipelines using the purge gas?
The principle is to isolate and purge in segments. This is the requirement for purging in our installations; otherwise, all those strange problems that arise after operation are due to inadequate basic work.
Before connecting the electric heater, the flange should be cleaned through purging; only after the pipelines have been thoroughly purged can the electric heater be connected, in order to prevent impurities from entering the heater and affecting its proper operation
Isolation purging is allowed; airtight pressure testing is permissible, but purging with gas or steam is not, to prevent damage to the heater
Can the electric heating element be temporarily removed, and then reinstalled after the inlet and outlet pipelines have been cleaned? After all, some electric heaters have their inlet and outlet ports welded directly together, rather than being connected via flanges
When welding, TIG welding is definitely used as the base process, so there won’t be much slag. As for the issue of removing the tube bundle, please contact the manufacturer and it’s best to follow their advice
