During the unit optimization process, to increase the yield of wax oil, the distillation temperature at 95% recovery for coked wax oil was raised from 501 degrees to 507 degrees, resulting in a residue carbon content of 1. It’s already 33%; the relevant departments in the company are unable to raise the temperature at the 95% point any further. What are the requirements regarding the relationship between the carbon residue in coker wax oil and the distillation temperature at the 95% point? What level of carbon residue is generally required before raising the temperature at the 95% point reaches its upper limit? I would appreciate help from all of you

The carbon residue and composition of the oil, as well as its boiling range, all have an impact; for the same type of oil, the higher the 95% point, the higher the carbon residue

As the others have mentioned, the higher the 95% cut point of paraffin oil, the greater the carbon residue. Therefore, according to these standards, if the carbon residue reaches 1.33% at the 95% cut point, measures need to be taken. Since the oil goes on to a catalytic converter, high carbon residue can lead to increased burning
