Based on the aforementioned basic advantages of the EPC turnkey contract model over traditional construction project contracting models, its basic characteristics can be summarized as follows: (1) Under the EPC turnkey contract model, the client (owner) should not exercise excessive control over the general contractor, but rather should grant the latter considerable freedom in the execution of the construction project.
