Whether water is supplied to the drum, I don’t think it has anything to do with preheating the feed material. Water is supplied probably because the temperature outside the furnace tubes has risen now, and it’s necessary to supply water in order to protect those furnace tubes.
When starting up our catalytic unit to preheat the feedstock, we need to introduce steam into the drum and vent it on-site in order to raise the temperature of the feedstock; at this time, no water is added to the drum, and due to the low water temperature, the preheating temperature of the feedstock cannot be increased
