The current increases as the flow rate of a centrifugal pump rises; then why does the current still exceed the normal level when the pump’s filter is clogged and the flow rate decreases?
It’s not true that only an increase in current flow can cause overcurrent; in fact, mechanical issues as well as insulation problems can also lead to overcurrent

Brother, you mentioned that a clogged filter leads to high shaft power. So, if you reduce the size of the inlet valve, will the shaft power increase?
Resistance increases, requiring more power. As the motor power increases, when it reaches its limit one end gets blocked, which results in the pump being unable to function properly
