1. When the operating conditions of the gas vapor flow meter change, the zero point of the instrument should be readjusted. At the same time, the conduits of the instrument must be installed horizontally and calibrated. Otherwise, it will increase the impact of changes in operating conditions on zero drift. The rack must not experience any vibration or swaying, so it is not suitable for use on ships. 2. Although the specific heat of real gases varies with pressure, and the variation can be significant for some gases, the measurement accuracy of instruments can still be maintained within a certain range. 3. Before use, a gas vapor flow meter must be turned on to warm up first; it will exhibit unstable readings until it has been properly warmed up. Good models have a startup warm-up time of less than two hours. 4. During use, when the gas flow rate changes suddenly, the temperature within the tube must be redistributed through heat transfer; therefore, it takes some time for the output signal to stabilize again. 5. Since such gas flow meters must operate under conditions of relatively stable gas specific heat, they are not suitable for use in situations where the gas composition is unstable, there is mist in the gas stream, or the operating conditions approach the critical point for gas liquefaction, as the specific heat value becomes very unstable in these cases.
