Does a medium-pressure water pump refer to a deaeration water pump? If we consider only the water supply to each drum, it may not be necessary to install a standby pump for automatic startup; however, we must also take into account issues such as the deaerator level and the heat exchange in the economizer. Since all these factors have a significant impact, it is advantageous to have an interlock-based automatic startup system. In our case, we have installed two variable-frequency pumps with automatic startup features when pressure drops.

I think the probability of that is quite low; once it stops, starting the backup pump right away should prevent too large fluctuations
