Therefore, the two most important parameters in an oil mist lubrication system are pressure and temperature. The instrument air should maintain a pressure of 5 kilograms (0.5 Mpa) or a constant flow rate of air in m3/h; the oil mist pressure should be kept within the range of 5–9 Kpa, and the oil temperature should be raised to 50°C. The supply of instrument air is intended to ensure that the generator can produce sufficient oil mist (in typical applications, the pressure of instrument air is kept between 0.1 and 0.3 Mpa) ; Mist pressure is intended to ensure that the lubrication points receive an adequate supply of oil mist; however, too high a mist pressure (above 20 Kpa) can also affect the effectiveness of oil mist lubrication ; The oil temperature is intended to enhance the activity of the lubricating oil and improve its atomization effect; however, it must not be raised above 70°C. When the oil temperature drops below 30°C (as the temperature falls, the physical properties of the lubricating oil become more viscous), this can affect the atomization effect, though it does not have a fatal impact on the lubricating capabilities of the oil mist. Nevertheless, this situation should be addressed as soon as possible, especially during the cold winters in the northern regions.
