I have a question for everyone: what should be the level of aromatics in the overhead of the stripping tower in a liquid-liquid extraction unit?
The lower this value, the better, right? But it can’t be too low, otherwise the non-aromatic content at the bottom of the tower will increase.
We currently have a fragrance content of 55%; I think it’s possible to reduce it a bit
When controlling the benzene product quality at 535, the aromatic content in the oil from the distillation column top reflux tank (for backwashing) is generally between 70-80%, with a benzene purity of over 99.90%； Currently, the quality of benzene product is controlled at 545; by increasing the operating temperature of the stripping tower, the aromatic content at the top of the tower remains within the range of 85–95%, while the purity of benzene reaches 99.93%, with a freezing point above 545. Attempts were made to reduce the operating temperature of the stripping tower; as a result, the aromatic content at the top of the tower was reduced to 80%, and the purity of benzene could reach over 99.80%, but the crystallization point did not meet the required standards.
