Yes, it can happen if the reaction conditions are not properly controlled.
It does tend to explode and polymerize easily; a prolonged stay of the pipeline in high-temperature environments can lead to explosion and polymerization. The outlet pipe of our company’s propylene oxidation reactor is not allowed to be longer than 4 meters; a heat exchanger is connected afterward to reduce the temperature, and the shorter the pipe length, the better. .
