Is there a fixed pattern for installing basket filters in refineries?
There’s no fixed pattern; we installed a basket filter at the outlet of the oil-sealing pump in our unit. That is, ventilation ports should be provided at the top and bottom of the filter body, and shut-off valves should be installed at the filter’s inlet and outlet. The lower vent of the filter body is used for pressure relief and draining, while the upper vent is used for air bypassing, facilitating the complete drainage of oil from the lower vent.
