Has anyone worked with electric heat tracing? Is the cost high? How’s it working?
Electric tracing is certainly much more expensive than steam tracing, and it is suitable for small pipes where the temperature requirements are not very high
For applications with a small scale where heat tracing may be difficult, this option can be considered; the cost is slightly higher, and the requirements are stricter than those for steam heat tracing, as explosion protection is necessary after all~~~
For small pipes used for temporary heating over short periods of time, steam is recommended if use is intended to be long-term
In those relatively dead corners where steam cannot reach, heating is only considered if it’s necessary~~~~ We rarely encounter such situations here~~~
1. Consider this option when precise control of the medium temperature is required. 2. There are no pipes carrying hot water or steam in the vicinity. In these two cases, electric heating is usually the preferred option; compared to heating with steam or hot water, electric heating provides more stable temperature control and greater flexibility in terms of heating methods, although it incurs higher costs than steam heating.
