Rain gutters at the delivery platform

I would like to make exterior gutters with gutter covers. Is there any good construction plan to prevent rainwater from intruding?
If there is a rain cover, there is no problem with this design. However, it is still recommended to leave a place for installing the submersible pump, just in case.
