Are there any requirements for the voltage and number of cells in a UPS battery?

For UPS backup batteries, some have 18 cells in series and others have 20 cells; all of these batteries are standard 12V. So the question is: is the rectified voltage of the UPS fixed, or does the manufacturer determine the number of battery cells based on the required backup capacity and then adjust the rectified voltage accordingly?
The number of batteries in a UPS/EPS series is determined by the emergency controller built into it; it’s not possible to have whatever number of batteries one wants. Once the UPS/EPS model is chosen, the number of batteries in the series is already fixed. What remains is to calculate the total battery capacity required, divide this total capacity by the number of batteries, and then add a margin to determine the capacity of each individual battery
It is determined based on the required ampere-hours. Also, pay attention to capacity and power supply time.
