[Random Shot] Do the cables in the cable trench need to be elevated?

In a substation, cable trenches were opened due to the installation of new equipment, and there are also newly built cable trenches. I noticed that all the cables in the cable trench were lying at the bottom of it. It seems there used to be a support in the old cable trench, but it’s broken now. I’m an amateur and would like to ask: are the cables in the cable trench simply left at the bottom of the trench? I remember seeing an overhead support in the cable trench before, right?
Given how wet the cable trench is, it is necessary to install cable supports to prevent the cables from remaining submerged in water for long periods; otherwise, their insulation quality will decline, affecting their lifespan.
Are there any relevant standards? What are the regulations or restrictions regarding the size, structure, number of cables, and so on in cable trenches?
