Are there any of you working in public works who are familiar with this? In chemical plants, two types of water are generally used. One type is tap water supplied by the water treatment plant, which is the same as household tap water and is used in the production processes. Another type is water for martial law use; it is inexpensive and is used only for flushing floors, replenishing fire-fighting water, and top-up for circulation systems. We have conducted one test on these two types of water, and found that their parameters are generally similar; both meet the standards for urban tap water supply, with only minor differences. These differences include the presence of substances such as aluminum, iron, arsenic, as well as disinfectant levels like residual chlorine and chlorine dioxide. I would like to ask: which of these substances are present in industrial water or tap water, and in which type of water do the differences occur?
Just my humble opinion; please feel free to offer criticism and suggestions: Tap water cannot be used directly in chemical production – appropriate backflow prevention measures are necessary, and ordinary check valves are not sufficient as such measures. Industrial water, depending on the needs of industrial production, can come from tap water, treated deionized water, cooling water, chilled water, or it can be obtained directly from groundwater or river water – the options are diverse.
