1. The water inlet pipeline must be flushed with filtered water before it can be connected to the EDI module of the industrial ultra-pure water system; otherwise, debris and impurities in the pipeline may enter the module due to lack of cleaning, resulting in irreparable damage. 2. Gradually increase the pressure in the module over a period of one to two minutes, in order to avoid damage caused by water hammer. Remember: Do not allow the pressure in the module to exceed the specified range for the pure water equipment. 3. Ensure that the flow rates of various types of water are sufficient, such as the flow rate of fresh water, the flow rate of concentrated water discharged, and the flow rate of concentrated water in circulation. And ensure the safe and normal operation of the linkage mechanism. 4. Test the water quality entering the module, such as residual chlorine or other oxidizing agents. The quality of the incoming water must meet the specified criteria. 5. If the water inlet hardness is greater than 0.5 ppm, or if other water quality parameters do not meet the required standards, it will damage the module. At this point, it is necessary to carry out regular cleaning with acid or to use methods for softening the pipes with concentrated water. 6. If the EDI ultra-pure water system is equipped with a salt feeding pump, then the composition and quality of the salt must be carefully checked and strictly controlled; the specifications regarding the salt can be found in the user manual. Prolonged use of substandard salt can damage the membrane. 7. Be careful with plastic pipes and fittings.
