Dear teachers, is it necessary to add auxiliary heating facilities to the liquid nitrogen outlet unit of the air separation unit?
This mainly depends on your users; there are specialized liquid nitrogen products as well as gaseous nitrogen products. Set as needed.
Downstream users use gaseous nitrogen, and the temperature after the liquid nitrogen vaporizer is low in winter.
For auxiliary heating, it is recommended to use both steam and electric heating to prevent failure of vaporization in case of a sudden power or steam outage
If the nitrogen delivery pipeline is made of carbon steel, a low-temperature protection interlock should be installed at the outlet of your vaporizer. If the temperature often approaches the threshold value for this interlock, it is recommended that you install one; otherwise, it isn’t necessary.
