Recently, the Jieyang Green Chemicals and Advanced Materials New Technology Research Center (Phase II) project, undertaken by China National Chemical Engineering Fourth Construction Company South China Branch, reached an important milestone: the construction of the first 54-meter test pile was successfully completed. Since the project commenced, to ensure the smooth progress of the pilot pile driving, the project team planned in advance. By taking into account the geological conditions and construction requirements, they promptly developed a specialized plan for the first pilot pile, detailing the key procedures to ensure seamless progression of the work. Under the full supervision and guidance of the Jieyang City Planning and Construction Bureau, the five key parties involved in the project – those responsible for construction, surveying, design, construction work, and supervision – participated throughout the process, carrying out real-time tracking and recording of critical steps such as pile location determination, drilling depth, pile quality, and the penetration depth achieved during drilling. Before construction, the project department organized comprehensive safety and technical briefings, using case studies and on-site demonstrations to enhance the quality and safety awareness of all team members. From the proposal preparation to the successful testing of the piles, all the preliminary work was completed in just 5 days, 10 days ahead of the original schedule, providing a reliable technical basis for the subsequent large-scale pile construction. As an important extension of the Jieyang New Materials Industry Technology Research Institute, the project has a total investment of around 300 million yuan, with a planned total construction area of 66,000 square meters. Focusing on two core functions – industrial innovation and talent development – it will feature four main buildings: a training center, a talent building, a research center for the institute, and experimental facilities. Commercial amenities will also be provided to enhance the service capabilities of the park. Upon completion, the project will focus on making breakthroughs in cutting-edge technologies such as plastic pollution control and green catalytic materials, achieving full coverage of the entire value chain from basic research to pilot-scale production and finally to industrial application. Next, the project team of Jieyang New Materials Research Institute will continue to uphold a spirit of hard work, focus on meeting the project deadlines, strictly ensure quality and safety, manage resources in a scientific manner, and optimize the construction process, all in order to ensure that the project is completed on schedule. This will help lay a solid foundation for the development of Jieyang’s new materials industry cluster and contribute to the company’s high-quality growth.
