Dear experts: How can proper basic protection measures be implemented in the acid and alkali areas of acid and alkali handling systems, so as to provide protection while also preventing acid and alkali corrosion of the foundation and avoiding an unsightly appearance? Some people say that when carrying out anti-corrosion treatment, it must be thorough; generally, anti-corrosion coatings can be applied by brushing, and these are mainly resin-based, such as epoxy resins and phenolic resins. Is this feasible?
It’s not clear what material this is; however, marble is alkaline while granite is acidic, so it can’t be used, right?
The on-site work was done very well. As an improvement, an epoxy resin coating can be applied to the pump base beneath the mechanical seals of the acid and alkali pumps; the area where water overflows from the pump base should be connected to PR pipes that lead underground to a dedicated waste liquid collection tank or to a chemical treatment tank for acid-alkali neutralization.
Proper monitoring of the design and operation to prevent leaks is essential; anti-corrosion measures are sufficient if the foundation as a whole is not protected, or only in certain areas (such as the pump foundation).
