On February 28, the two oxidation reactors of the 130,000-ton/year maleic anhydride plant at the Qianjiang project in Hubei were successfully completed, and the 2,000-ton crawler crane was taken out of service; the project team is now entering a new phase of intensive work. At the end of December 2023, large-scale equipment such as crawler cranes, tower structures, and containers for the Qianjiang project in Hubei were gradually delivered to the site, and the installation work of these equipment reached its peak phase. According to the project construction plan, the lifting of the oxidation reactor will use a 2,000-ton crawler crane as the main crane, along with an 800-ton crawler crane as a backup crane. 300-ton and 200-ton crawler cranes were used in conjunction with two assembly vehicles; although the site was small, effective coordination ensured that overlapping operations were avoided. With the arrival of the first transport vehicle carrying the 800-ton crawler crane, the signal for lifting the large-scale equipment at the Qianjiang project in Hubei was officially given. The oxidation reactor weighs 740 tons, has a maximum diameter of 10.7 meters and a height of 11 meters, resembling a \"little chubby guy\". Since the oxidation reactor is located far from the foundation site, after on-site inspections by various technical experts and project leaders, an optimal transportation and lifting plan was developed. In December, Hubei experienced sudden changes in weather, with continuous rainfall and drops in temperature, which severely affected the progress of construction on site and added additional difficulties to the work. To ensure the smooth progress of on-site construction, the project team provided workers with ginger tea to warm them up, bread and instant noodles, as well as cotton-padded jackets, thereby ensuring proper logistical support for everyone. At the same time, the team coordinated among itself so that each group could contribute its manpower and resources. The employees of the project team, driven by the common goal of successfully lifting the oxidation reactor, braved the cold and weather conditions and remained at the front line throughout. Once the assembly of the two cranes was completed and approved, the project team immediately began making preparations to lift the first reactor. The company’s leadership and experts attached great importance to this lifting operation, exercised direct supervision at the site, provided technical guidance, and addressed the technical challenges encountered during construction. From January 29 to February 1, the lifting of Reactor No. 2 was successfully completed; from February 26 to February 28, Reactor No. 1 was completed. The lifting weight of each of the two oxidation reactors is 840 tons. With the successful lifting of Reactor No. 1, it marks the complete completion of the lifting of the super-large equipment for the first phase of the project, from the end of 2023 to the beginning of 2024. Next, the project team will continue to adopt a scientific and rigorous approach, strengthen team building, and strive to achieve the construction goals of the mid-to-high-end new materials project with high standards, high quality, and high efficiency. With even greater determination, they will meet new challenges and achieve even greater results.
