Recently, the CO2 desorption tower and H2S concentration tower of the low-temperature methanol washing unit at the Xinjiang Xinji Energy project were successfully hoisted into place; once the towers were in place, the lighting was turned on, marking the nearing completion of the heavy equipment installation work for the first phase of this project. The CO2 desorption tower is over 77 meters tall and weighs around 237 tons, while the H2S concentration tower is over 67 meters tall and weighs about 188 tons. To reduce the risks associated with work at heights, after the two pieces of equipment arrived, the Xinjiang Xinji Energy project team of Tianchen Company organized the subcontractors to carry out tasks such as installing pipelines attached to the tower, setting up lighting equipment, and applying anti-corrosion and insulation measures on the surface. During the lifting operation, the construction team used a 1250-ton crawler crane as the main crane and a 650-ton crawler crane as an auxiliary crane. Together, these two cranes were used to position the equipment in a vertical position; thereafter, the main crane lifted the equipment over the main frame of the low-temperature methanol washing unit. The equipment was then successfully lifted to the desired installation height through the top of the frame, and the lighting fixtures were tested to ensure they worked properly.
