The Xintian Tangshan LNG project successfully completed the lifting of the roofs on tanks No. 11 and No. 17. On November 25, a witnessing ceremony for the lifting of the roofs of these tanks as part of phase three of the Tangshan LNG project’s receiving station was held at the project’s office site in Huanqiu Beijing. At 6:30, with the help of air buoyancy, tank No. 17 began its lifting operation ; At 9:16, under the precise control of the main control console, it rose steadily to the predetermined height and was successfully positioned, achieving a perfect connection with the pressure-resistant ring on the top of the tank. Going back to October 27, the 11# storage tank of China’s first New Tian Tangshan LNG project to use stiff composite piles successfully completed its pneumatic jacking operation. The successful completion of the roof lifting operation for tank No. 17 marks the official transition of this project from the civil construction phase of the concrete outer tank to the more critical phase of installing the inner tank. The Tangshan LNG project is a key project under the National Development and Reform Commission’s initiative for the production, supply, storage, and distribution of natural gas; it was also the largest gas supply project in terms of design scale in China at the time of its approval. The successful implementation of this project holds significant strategic importance in achieving the **\"dual carbon\" goals, enhancing the region of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei’s capacity for emergency peak shaving and supply security in terms of natural gas, and ensuring the stability and safety of natural gas supply. Gas lifting operations are one of the key processes in the construction of large LNG storage tanks, characterized by the highest technical difficulty, greatest risks, and most complex procedures. Its working principle involves using a fan system to continuously supply air into the enclosed space inside the tank, thereby causing the pressure inside the tank to rise slowly and steadily. This pressure rise pushes the entire dome structure that is sealed to the tank upward along the tank walls, until it reaches the designated position with millimeter-level precision and absolute stability.
