Recently, the first pressure testing batch for the air-nitrogen station of the Yan’an natural gas storage and peak-shaving project, along with the associated LNG facilities, which is under the general contract of Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd., passed the joint inspection by the owner and supervisor without any issues. This marks the entry into the phase of pipeline strength testing, laying a foundation for achieving the project’s delivery targets. To date, out of the 362 pressure testing packages required across the plant, 19 have been completed for the air and nitrogen stations, 6 for the LNG loading and unloading facilities, and 5 for the refrigerant storage areas of the natural gas purification and liquefaction units. To ensure that the cleanliness of the pipeline system meets engineering standards, the project team is steadily progressing with the pipeline purging operations as planned. The purging work is progressing smoothly at this stage; the main pipeline network has been fully cleaned, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent pressure testing procedures. The project strictly adheres to the process procedures and quality control standards to ensure that each section of the pipeline meets the design requirements. It created favorable conditions for subsequent key processes such as heat preservation and insulation work. It is reported that the project is located in the Chemical Industry Park of the Yan’an Linzhan Economic Zone, in Qinghuabian Town, Baota District, Yan’an City, and it is a key energy project in Shaanxi Province. At present, there are over 900 workers on site for the project. To achieve the goals set by CCCC in a high-quality manner and on schedule, the project team has developed a detailed plan of action to ensure that the remaining pressure testing tasks are completed as planned.
