On June 25, the first successful lift of the shift gas scrubber, the heaviest and tallest single unit equipment in Gansu Energy and Chemical Group Jinchang Company’s coal chemical project, marked a new phase in the construction of this facility and laid a solid foundation for subsequent pipeline installation work. It is reported that the washing tower being lifted this time is one of the key equipment for the project’s construction. The tower weighs 426 tons, is 95.3 meters tall, and has a diameter of 3.4 meters. To ensure the smooth completion of the lifting operation, Jinchang Company, together with the construction team, carried out thorough preparatory work, continuously improved the construction plan, conducted special inspections of the construction machinery and equipment, and provided safety and technical instructions to the on-site managers and workers, thereby ensuring the standardization and safety of the project’s construction process. For this lifting operation, a 2000-ton crawler crane was used as the main lifting device, while a 400-ton crawler crane was used to assist in the process. By employing the single-machine lifting method, the equipment was successfully lifted and placed in position, ensuring its accurate installation.
