On July 19, at the construction site of the China Coal Yulin Coal Deep Processing Project, the core equipment of the purification system – a thousand-ton class column-type methanol washing tower for converting gases – was lifted into place in one precise operation, thanks to the seamless coordination between a 4,000-ton class main crane and an 800-ton class auxiliary crane, despite the adverse weather conditions. The tower weighs 1,200 tons, has a diameter of 4.6 meters and a height of 105 meters; the entire structure, including the pipelines attached to it, the equipment platform, as well as electrical and lighting systems, has a total lifting weight of around 1,400 tons – making it a veritable \"thousand-ton behemoth\". The successful lifting of this tower marks a milestone achievement in the project’s construction. According to the project leader, from June 1, when the first prefabricated section of the tower was precisely aligned, until July 18, when the entire tower was installed, all the construction workers approached the task with a mindset of \"fighting from the very beginning,\" challenging both time and precision. Nearly 2,400 inches of pipeline, with 100% qualification rate for weld inspections – each weld is a silent declaration of quality. 10 system pressure testing kits – a successful pressure test on the first attempt, demonstrating rigorous construction organization and zero-tolerance for poor process control.
