All 8 process compressors of the Yan’an natural gas storage, peak shaving, and associated LNG project have been installed

Recently, all 8 process compressors for the Yan’an natural gas storage and peak-shaving project, along with its associated LNG facilities, which were under the general contract of Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Beiyou Engineering”), were installed. This marks the successful completion of a key milestone for the project’s core equipment, as well as the successful lifting of these large-scale components. Currently, the final round of wall plate assembly and welding work is being carried out on tanks No. 1 and No. 2, while 90% of the construction work on the process pipelines associated with the compression units has been completed. The project construction strictly adheres to the QHSE management system, with the first-pass welding success rate remaining above 98.3%. The project leader stated that the next steps will focus on completing the welding work for the storage tanks, carrying out pressure testing, transporting compressor oil, finalizing the utility systems, and achieving handover of the area in front of the plant. In line with the established goals, the project is advanced in an orderly manner to ensure its timely and high-quality completion. Once the project is completed and put into operation, it will significantly enhance the capacity of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia revolutionary base area to regulate natural gas supply during winter. In recent years, Beiyou Engineering has focused on its core responsibilities and main business areas, taking green and low-carbon projects as a key approach, and emphasizing livelihood-related projects as priorities in its development efforts. It has made full use of technological innovation to support high-quality development, thereby facilitating the early commencement, timely completion, and early operation of these projects. To date, the company has completed the construction of large-scale liquefied natural gas projects in Shaanxi, Gansu, Shandong, Inner Mongolia and other regions. By employing innovative techniques such as digital delivery and modular construction, it continues to improve the energy efficiency of these projects, providing strong support for the adjustment of regional energy structures and the achievement of the \"dual carbon\" goals.
