On August 28, the first commissioning of the Public Gas Island (Phase I) project for Shaanxi Xinsheng Green Energy New Materials Co., Ltd. in the Yuheng Industrial Zone was successful, with qualified end products being produced successfully. The project was designed by Sinopec Nanjing Engineering Company. This project utilizes the company’s independently developed carbon dioxide dual purification technology to produce syngas at a rate of 15,000 Nm³/h, which will serve as raw material for downstream integrated facilities. During the commissioning phase, the company sent design experts from its Environmental Engineering Department, Process Engineering Department, and Electrical and Instrumentation Department to work together with the owner to carry out the preparations for production. After system debugging, heating of the furnace, and the start of production, the gas island unit began producing syngas at 2 a.m. on August 28; by 11 p.m. that same day, it was connected to the downstream units, enabling the production of qualified products such as n-propionaldehyde, n-propanol, and n-propyl acetate. At present, the plant is operating stably at 60% load; production capacity will be increased gradually after minor issues are resolved.
