The lifting of the absorber tower (T-110), a key piece of equipment for the Shandong Lanwan New Materials project, was completed successfully on September 27. The Shandong branch of Sinochem Sixth Construction Engineering carried out this lifting operation. The project is located in the Economic Development Zone of Dongying City, Shandong Province, with a total investment of 6 billion yuan. It mainly involves the construction of facilities for producing 1 million tons per year of acrylamide, 380,000 tons per year of polyacrylamide, 360,000 tons per year of superabsorbent resins, and 240,000 tons per year of acrylic acid and acrylates. Upon completion, it will become the largest production base for water-soluble polymer materials in the country. Once the project is put into operation, the consumption of propylene will reach around 500,000 tons per year, thereby driving the propylene industry chain to advance comprehensively toward areas with higher added value.
