CNPC Engineering signed a contract for the Atavi Natural Gas Processing Plant project in Iraq. On September 14, China National Petroleum Engineering Corporation signed a contract for the Atavi Natural Gas Processing Plant project in Iraq. The project is located in the Atawi oil field, 60 kilometers west of Basra in Iraq, covering an area of 800,000 square meters. Its capacity for processing associated gas is 3.3 billion cubic meters per year, with a construction period of 39 months. On the evening of June 13, CNPC Engineering (600339) issued a winning bid announcement. It was revealed that the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, China National Petroleum Engineering Corporation (referred to as “Engineering Corporation”), signed an EPSCC contract with TotalEnergies for the gas processing plant project at the Atawi oil field in Iraq (referred to as the “Atawi GPP project”). The value of this contract is 1.601 billion US dollars (approximately 11.538 billion RMB). 　　In May 2025, the engineering construction company received a letter of award for the Atawi GPP project from TotalEnergies, confirming it as the winner of the bid for this project. On May 15, the company issued a announcement titled “CNPC Engineering’s Announcement on Its Subsidiary Winning a Project Bid”. 　　The Atawi GPP project is executed under the EPSCC turnkey contract model, involving the construction of a natural gas processing facility with a capacity of 320 million cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) along with associated facilities.
