Turning waste plastic into treasure is becoming a reality! On July 11, reporters learned from a press conference held by the Guangdong Provincial Press Office that on the morning of that day, the 200,000-ton/year demonstration project for the comprehensive recycling of mixed plastic waste at Dongyue Chemical, located in the Dainanhai Petrochemical Industrial Zone in Jieyang, achieved successful trial production. All process parameters met the expected standards, indicating that this internationally pioneering project for the continuous and large-scale chemical recycling of plastic waste has successfully passed industrial validation, thus opening up a full-scale industrial pathway for the high-value and harmless utilization of plastic waste.
