Recently, the installation of the core equipment for the gasification unit in the energy-saving, environmental-protection improvement and related renovation project of Shanxi Jinfeng Coal Chemical Industry was fully completed, laying a solid foundation for subsequent system debugging and commissioning. The gasification furnace began to be lifted on July 28. The project construction team ultimately completed the lifting of all 12 gasifiers efficiently. In Shanxi Jinfeng Coal Chemical Gasification, efforts will be made to improve energy efficiency and environmental protection; 12 pure-oxygen continuous gasification units (10 in operation and 2 as backups) will be installed to replace the existing 32 fixed-bed intermittent gasification units. A new air separation unit with a capacity of 30,000 m3/h will also be built, and the gas purification systems as well as the zero-discharge wastewater treatment system across the entire plant will be upgraded. After the project is implemented, the overall production capacity remains unchanged, at 360,000 tons of amino alcohol and 520,000 tons of urea per year. The Gas Production Energy-Saving and Environmental Protection Improvement and Associated Renovation Project of Shanxi Jinfeng Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. is located in Macun Industrial Park, Gaoping Economic and Technological Development Zone, Jincheng City. The total investment for this project amounts to 727.7412 million yuan. The construction work includes: building 12 new pure-oxygen continuous gasification furnaces (10 in operation and 2 as backups) to replace the existing 32 fixed-bed intermittent gasification furnaces; installing a new air separation unit with a capacity of 30,000 m3/h; and upgrading the coal gas purification system as well as the zero-discharge wastewater treatment system throughout the plant. Additionally, 2 x 90 t/h circulating fluidized bed coal-fired boilers will be built, while the existing 4 x 35 t/h coal-fired boilers (3 in operation and 1 as backup) will be removed. The existing semi-water gas tanks and waste heat recovery systems for gas production will also be shut down and removed. After the project is implemented, the overall production capacity will remain unchanged at 360,000 tons of amino alcohol and 520,000 tons of urea per year. Shanxi Jinfeng Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. is a large-scale coal chemical enterprise under Shanxi JinNeng Holding Equipment Manufacturing Group Co., Ltd. The current production facilities consist of an ammonia synthesis unit and a urea production unit. The ammonia synthesis plant consists of four sections: raw gas preparation, raw gas purification, raw gas compression, and ammonia synthesis. For raw gas preparation, 32 fixed-bed, atmospheric-pressure, batch-type gasifiers with a diameter of 2650 mm are used. Raw gas purification involves wet desulfurization, sulfur-resistant full-low-temperature shift reaction, wet DSH desulfurization followed by dry activated carbon desulfurization for the shifted gas, NHD decarburization, and dimethyl refinement. Ammonia synthesis is carried out using a pressure of 31.4 MPa. The urea plant uses the CO2 stripping method to produce urea; the first phase is for producing small-particle urea, while the second phase is for producing large-particle urea. Crude methanol is purified into pure methanol through distillation. The current total annual production of ammonia alcohols by the enterprise is 360,000 tons.
