The Shenyuan New Materials Integrated Industrial Park, located in the Kemeng Economic Development Zone of Lianjiang, is showing great vitality. The world’s first large-scale chemical-based T2T (Textile to Textile) recycling project for nylon 6 (polyamide 6) is under accelerated construction, with operations set to begin in the first quarter of next year. This project is a green chemical recycling initiative developed by Fujian Hengxin Green Technology Co., Ltd. With a total investment of 379 million yuan, it aims to convert waste fishing nets, fabrics, and other textile waste into high-quality recycled polyamide 6 chips, thereby achieving circular utilization at the same level as in the original textile production process. “The equipment installation is now largely complete; pipeline welding, as well as the installation of electrical and instrumentation trays and cables, are currently in progress. The overall progress stands at around 80%. Next, wire inspection and pressure testing for the pressure testing package, as well as the piping for the remaining pipelines, will be carried out, while equipment inspection and debugging will proceed simultaneously. ”Ke Linjun, manager of the production department at Fujian Hengxin Green Technology Co., Ltd., said that the localization rate of the equipment used in this project is 90%, and the annual production capacity is expected to reach 7,000 tons. This will fill the technical gap in the field of chemical recycling of post-consumer nylon waste in China.
