On November 3, the Guoxin Rudong LNG Terminal project successfully completed the installation of 5 quay unloading arms, laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction work. It is said that as the core equipment connecting the storage tank to the LNG carrier, the unloading arm plays a vital role in the two-way transfer of liquefied natural gas. To ensure the smooth progress of the lifting operation, during the initial planning stage, the company’s project department took the initiative to hold several specialized seminars in collaboration with the client, the supervision unit, and the equipment suppliers. After thorough technical evaluations and analysis of the on-site conditions, the original plan to use a floating crane was modified to one that involved using a 200-ton truck crane. This solution not only effectively overcomes adverse factors such as complex weather conditions and tidal changes, but also significantly reduces construction risks and cost expenditures. Through close collaboration and efficient communication, the project team overcame numerous challenges and successfully completed all installation tasks.
