At 17:00 on November 5, with the pouring of the final batch of concrete completed, the power distribution system for Fushun Petrochemical’s 200,000 tons per year solution-process polyethylene project, which was under the general contracting of Huanqiu Daqing Company, was successfully completed ahead of schedule – 5 days earlier than planned. This marked an important milestone in the project’s development, and it also provided valuable time for subsequent tasks such as equipment installation, electrical and instrumentation work, and system testing. The substation building for this project is 69.2 meters long and 25.8 meters wide, with 2 floors in total; its construction area is approximately 3,230 square meters, and its height is 11.47 meters. Construction began on July 20, with a total of 423.9 tons of rebar installed and 2,532 cubic meters of concrete poured. As the \"central nervous system\" of the power system for all the equipment in the plant, the construction progress of the substation is directly related to the overall commissioning timeline of the equipment. In the face of challenges such as dense rebar at the beam and column joints in the substation, which makes construction difficult, the project team has always adhered to the principle of giving equal importance to quality and schedule. By optimizing the construction organization and strengthening process control, it has worked closely with all parties involved in the project. Before pouring, the project department carries out tasks such as advance technical briefings, inspections of the implementation of those briefings, checks for potential quality issues, and approval of work plans. It strictly adheres to safety and quality inspection protocols, and provides on-site supervision and inspection of the construction of concealed works, key processes, and critical areas, striving to ensure the quality of the project. During the construction process, the project team exercised strict oversight, with each specialized department responsible for its own tasks. Close supervision was provided over the key construction techniques, and management personnel were on duty throughout to coordinate all parties involved, ensuring the safety of the pouring process. Ultimately, after 9 hours of continuous work, the pouring of concrete for the frame columns on the second floor, as well as the roof beams and slabs in the substation, was successfully completed. Both safety and quality standards were met, and this achievement earned high praise from the client. The substation has been successfully completed, securing valuable time for subsequent tasks such as decoration and electrical work on the project. In the next phase, all members of the project team will continue to focus on their goals.
