On November 2, local time in Iraq, the OT3 crude oil processing unit at the West Qurna oil field, constructed by the West Qurna project under the Iraqi Engineering Command, was successfully put into operation, marking the full entry of the OT2&3 projects into the operational phase. This is another major milestone achieved by the project following the early commissioning of the OT2 unit. The project adopts an integrated management model that combines local and foreign personnel, and has established a hierarchical control system centered around the P6 plan. Through hierarchical management at the levels of \"master plan—rolling plan—specific plan—daily plan\", along with a dynamic mechanism of daily tracking and weekly analysis, efficient progress of the construction is ensured. The project department has established a regular coordination meeting system, holding daily briefings and weekly production coordination meetings to swiftly resolve issues related to site interfaces, resource allocation, and technical challenges, thereby ensuring the orderly progress of cross-functional and multi-regional operations. At the same time, through precise resource allocation and accelerated work measures, the timely commissioning of the two core units, OT2 and OT3, was ensured. The successful commissioning of the West Qurna OT3 facility has enabled the company to establish itself once again as a benchmark for high-quality and efficient engineering work in the Iraqi market. It has also helped to train a group of technical construction management professionals in Iraq who are familiar with international standards, thus making new contributions to the company’s strategic goals for sustainable development overseas.
