On November 22, the welding of the joints at the four pipelines of the 100MW solar thermal project in Toksun, Xinjiang, carried out by China Power Construction, was completed on site. . The total number of welds for the four main pipelines in the project is 462. The materials used are 20G, 12Cr1MoVG, and SA335P91. The design was carried out by two different design institutes; these designs converge at the center of the utility tunnel. The design of the conventional island portion was done by PowerChina Hebei Electric Power Survey & Design Institute Co., Ltd., with a total of 262 welds ； The heat storage and exchange island section was designed by China Power Construction Group South-Central Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd., with 170 welds in total.
