The nitrogen pipeline system for the Fuhai Innovation Pipeline Project carried out by China National Chemical Engineering Corporation’s Fujian branch passed the acceptance tests successfully. On November 24th, it was put into use ahead of schedule, thus accelerating the progress of the entire project. The total length of the nitrogen pipeline is over 5,000 meters; it is made of seamless galvanized carbon steel pipes of grade 20, and comes in various pipe diameters ranging from DN50 to DN500. The design pressure is 1.2–3.0 MPa, allowing for the stable transportation of dry nitrogen with a purity of 99.99%. Faced with challenges such as the boundary between the old and new plant areas of the project and intensive concurrent operations, the project team allocated resources in a scientific manner, formed a team of technical experts, and strictly enforced the regulations regarding blind plates as well as safety procedures. By doing so, it was able to complete the pipeline purging tasks efficiently while avoiding risks such as overpressure damage and fluid leakage. The nitrogen pipeline system was put into use first, providing a safety guarantee for the installation of other type of pipelines and the commissioning of the entire system, thereby effectively reducing the construction timeline. The project team will coordinate the subsequent work such as pipeline installation and pressure testing, strictly maintaining safety and quality standards to ensure the project is delivered on schedule and to high standards.
