These guidelines can be used as a reference for both the design and construction of steel structures. I. Diameter of anchor bolt holes in the column foot base plate: 1. According to the \"Design Manual for Steel Structure Connection Joints\" (4th edition), pages 337 and 353, the diameter of the anchor bolt holes in the column foot base plates for hinged columns and rigidly connected columns should be set at the sum of the anchor bolt diameter and 5–10 mm. 2. According to the fourth edition of the ‘Steel Structure Design Manual’, page 1153, the diameter of the opening in the column foot plate is 1.5d, where d is the diameter of the anchor bolt. 3. Pages 34 and 37 of the atlas \"Detailed Drawings of Steel Structure Joints in Multi- and High-Rise Civil Buildings\" (16G519) do not provide specific values; they only specify the diameter of the anchor holes in the column foot slabs, with different hole diameters being used depending on the diameter of the anchors. 4. On pages 7 and 8 of the atlas \"Detailed Drawings of Steel Structure Joints for Single-Story Buildings\" (06SG529-1), the diameter of the holes in the column foot slabs for the anchor bolts should be no less than the diameter of the anchor bolts plus 20 mm. The author is skeptical about this value; is such a large aperture really necessary? However, in atlas 23G518-1 and 19G518-3, the hole diameters for the footplate are specified based on this value. 5. II. Thickness of the column foot base plate: 1. In the atlas \"Detailed Drawings of Steel Structure Joints in Multi- and High-Rise Civil Buildings\" (16G519), for hinged column footings, the thickness of the footing plate td must be ≥ 20, and td must also be ≥ tc; where tc refers to the thickness of the steel column flange; Just for the column foot, the thickness of the column foot plate td must be ≥30, and td must also be ≥tc, where tc is the thickness of the steel column flange. III. The side length of the washer under the anchor bolt nut is determined according to pages 7 and 8 of the atlas \"Detailed Construction Drawings for Steel Structure Joints in Single-Story Buildings\" (06SG529-1); for hinged column feet and rigidly connected column feet, the side length of this washer is 3(d+2), where d is the diameter of the anchor bolt.
