Dear sea friends: We currently have a DN100 pipe connection that is already linked to the existing natural gas pipeline; it serves as a backup. The LNG system that was previously in use has been removed; A set of CNG equipment is being prepared as a backup in case of emergencies. The details are as follows: (1) Gas consumption of 5000 m3/h, pressure of 1.6 Mpa ; (2) How much gas can a CNG vehicle generally hold? (3) After the CNG vehicle arrives at the station, what equipment and pipelines do we need to set up for use? For the above questions, those who are familiar with them could please help answer them. Generally, a pack of 8 bottles has a gas capacity of 3,600 cubic units; there are also packs of 9 and 10 bottles for larger capacities ; But you’re using too much gas; CNG isn’t suitable! ! ! Additional note: There are also smaller CNG cylinder skids with a gas capacity of 100–500 cubic feet. Simply put, you only need to provide a connection hose (the hose is standard and pre-formed).

For CNG tankers, there are 4 units in total; it is estimated that more than 4 unloading ports are required, along with CNG pressure regulation units and flow meters
1) The operating conditions regarding gas usage are not clear. What is the design pressure for a DN100 pipe? If it is 0.4 MPa, then a DN150 pipe would be necessary to handle a flow rate of 5,000 cubic meters per hour; if the pressure is low, then a DN100 pipe is too small. 2) A such large volume of CNG is not suitable for transportation – generally, filling a vehicle with CNG slows down once the volume reaches 3,200–3,400 cubic meters, and it’s impossible to fill it completely. If you need one and a half vehicles’ worth of CNG per hour, is that feasible? To operate CNG vehicles, at least 10 vehicles are needed (including those rented), and the cost is not reasonable. 3) If CNG is to be used, at least 2 gas unloading columns are required (they can be purchased ready-made or installed on-site); one set of CNG pressure reduction equipment is also needed, along with a gas-fired water heater room (equipped with 2 water heaters and various auxiliary facilities; electric heating is an alternative but it’s more expensive). A control room is also necessary (if there’s a nearby factory building that can be used as a control room, then no separate building is needed). 4) On-site, a fire water tank and pump room must also be constructed, unless the factory already has such facilities available. 5) Power usage should be classified as a secondary load
