Since the raw material gas, refrigerant gas entering the cold box, as well as the liquid in the liquid tank, have higher temperatures due to weather conditions, this affects the cooling efficiency of the cold box. Now we are considering installing a lithium bromide unit to cool the raw material gas, gaseous refrigerant, and liquid refrigerant before they enter the heat exchangers in the cold box. Has anyone used such a system before? What is its effectiveness? How much gas volume can it handle? I would appreciate some advice What is the principle of lithium bromide chillers, what are their actual performance in use, and what problems may arise? Thank you
If you have excess waste heat to utilize, lithium bromide units can be employed; the amount of fuel gas required is not an issue. We have used lithium bromide to handle a coolant flow rate of 200,000 cubic meters per hour. But if you don’t utilize waste heat, it is recommended to go straight for a chiller unit.
