【Daily Question No. 016】January 16, 2018: When a three-phase asynchronous motor starts, the rotor begins to rotate before the rotating magnetic field does. ( ) Judgment: ×. A rotating magnetic field is generated first; it cuts across the rotor conductors, thereby inducing an electric current. The current-carrying conductors, in turn, experience an electromagnetic force as a result of this interaction with the rotating magnetic field, which causes the rotor to rotate.
