According to standards, LNG cryogenic ball valves have single-direction and double-direction sealing options, which should be selected based on requirements. May I ask where two-way sealed ball valves are used in LNG projects? Is there any difference between two-way sealing and the use of DBB valves at normal temperatures?
Since no one has replied, I’ll throw out some ideas to stimulate discussion; I’m not looking for corrections. Generally, DBB is suitable for most applications; it involves non-toxic media at normal temperature and pressure, and offers good cost-effectiveness in conditions without safety hazards. DIB is suitable for locations where leakage tolerance is extremely low and human maintenance is required, or for areas with detectors where even slight leakage can lead to inaccurate detection.
