The LNG production project using coker gas from Henan Jinrui Energy Co., Ltd., undertaken by the Southwest Chemical Engineering Research and Design Institute, was successfully commissioned. Author/Source: Date: 2018-05-07 Clicks: 8 Recently, the LNG project with an annual production capacity of 100 million cubic meters carried out by Henan Jinrui Energy Co., Ltd. and handled by the Southwest Chemical Engineering Research and Design Institute was successfully put into operation. The project began operations on March 28, 2018; qualified CNG was produced on April 10, and the first CNG truck was filled with this gas. The cryogenic process was brought online on April 15, allowing for the production of qualified LNG, and sales of the first batch of LNG products started on April 20. This project utilizes proprietary patented technology developed by our institute. The engineering company, taking into account the complexity of the project conditions, carried out numerous detailed evaluations by specialists, and ultimately completed the entire process of project planning and engineering design, including the preparation of feasibility study reports, preliminary design, and construction drawings. A range of specialized equipment and materials were also provided, such as devices for coke oven gas purification, ultra-purification agents, the methanation reactor as a key piece of equipment, and methanation catalysts. A successful trial run of this project further verifies the stability and reliability of our institute’s technologies related to the methanization of coke oven gas, as well as its synthetic catalysts, specialized adsorbents, and dedicated equipment, thereby strengthening our institute’s leading position in the field of methanization technology.
