Now, a shutdown plan for the LNG peak-shaving station needs to be developed. All pipes other than the storage tanks, air-temperature vaporizers, and water-bath vaporizers need to be modified. It is now necessary to maintain pressure or keep the tank cold; the initial idea is to transfer as much of the remaining LNG in the tank as possible to the urban pipeline network, and then purge it with nitrogen. Now there are many detailed issues: 1. To what extent can the remaining natural gas be released during production? Can all the liquid phase be drained? 2. Can nitrogen purging be carried out if there is still liquid natural gas in the storage tank? Does nitrogen enter through the upper liquid inlet pipe or the lower liquid inlet pipe? 3. During purging, does the gas come out of the EAG pipeline or can it come out of the liquid outlet pipe? 4. Do air-temperature vaporizers and water-bath vaporizers require nitrogen purging? I might have quite a few questions; please help me answer them.

The LNG inside the tank is removed by using the pressure within the tank, and nitrogen is used for displacement. Nitrogen is injected into the tank during this process; once a certain pressure is reached, the gas is vented through the vapor outlet. This process of filling and venting is repeated to remove the gaseous natural gas from the tank.
