I would like to ask the experts: is an odorizer added to LNG when it leaves the factory?
By looking at the freezing point of **thiophene, it’s clear that it is generally used only for odorization in the gas phase**~~
I checked on this; there shouldn’t be any odorizing agents. But my colleague said that LNG has an odor when it leaks, so what’s the reason for that?
It might be because of odor-containing organic molecules~~such as those of the C5 and C6 types~
There is no odor added; it might be the smell of heavy hydrocarbons
Previously, I encountered a tanker truck with a foul odor. Later analysis suggested that it was caused by gas from the pipeline flowing back into the tanker during unloading
