Recently, the ex-plant price of LNG in North China has been around 3,600 yuan per ton. I don’t know whether this is the price including tax or excluding tax Is shipping included? The methanation process is used for the production of LNG from coke oven gas, which we are set to implement. According to the data provided by the design institute, the cost of LNG is 2.5 yuan per m3, while the selling price is 3.2 yuan per m3. Based on this calculation, the selling price per ton must be above 4,200 to be profitable. However, some manufacturers claim that the cost of producing LNG from coke oven gas is only 2 yuan. I would like to ask relevant experts: what is the current situation and outlook for LNG?
We produce LNG from coke oven gas at a rate of 40,000 nm3/h; in practice, the output is 36,000 nm3/h. The costs involve approximately 1,900 kWh of electricity per ton, as well as 3,500 nm3 of gas per ton. We are a project with an annual production capacity of 300 million cubic meters of LNG. Do you mean 40,000 cubic meters per hour as the processing capacity or the production volume? Regarding the volume of gas processed, the coking gas produced internally must be burned if LNG is not produced; this constitutes a form of reuse. The cost of this gas is not very high – the gas purchased from other coking companies costs only 0.25 yuan per nm3
