U.S.-based Chartech’s technology is quite good and can be compared to that of U.S.-based Tailai Huadun. However, in China, the situation for Chartech is not optimistic at present; a few days ago, the key technical staff from Chartech left the company and founded a new one called Jiangsu Qiulin Low Temperature Company. According to people from large gas companies, Chartech’s technical level in China is inferior to that of Tailai Huadun in China.

Chart is a pioneer in LNG vehicle cylinders and LNG refueling stations; it’s a shame that it didn’t develop further in later years. Beijing Baimiao LNG refueling station, the first of its kind in China, utilized Charter’s complete set of technical equipment. Later, from 2010 to around 2017, significant efforts were made to develop the LNG business unit; at that time, the tankers and storage tanks used were all from top domestic brands, those supplied by the three major oil companies and listed companies. Unfortunately, CIMC CryoTech later overtook them. 18 years later, there was a reduction in LNG activities, mainly because the profits from domestic LNG equipment were likely too low, so such projects were given up.
